Censored Series Part 3: Criminal

Sometimes we overlook that Jesus was a criminal who was condemned and crucified as an enemy of the state. This Sunday our Life Night will take a loser look at the specific events that led up to His criminal trial and execution.
Another thing that we often overlook is that Jesus tells us that if we follow Him, we too will face persecution. It may not take the form of being set up and condemned to death, but we can rest assured when we live out our faith, we will face opposition. The important thing to remember is that no matter what we face in this life, the reward of eternal glory far outweighs any ridicule or opposition we go through. After all, the cross, a sign of condemnation before, has become the sign of the greatest victory.
