Censored Series Part 4: King

As  Americans the idea of royalty is very foreign to us, literally. We fought against a monarchy for our independence, but we still have this curiosity about the “royals”.  We are intrigued by stories of kings and queens, and often the greatest villain in the movies is the tyrant of a king. This Sunday we will focus on Jesus as King, a true king who loves us and wants the best for us. Jesus’ kingship is not about a tyrannical rule over the people but one of shepherd who cares for his flock. Through this Life Night we will come to understand our true kings love for us, but also that His authority calls for holy obedience that will result on our ability to find true freedom on earth and the fulfillment of all good in heaven.
